Harold Pinter fans can enjoy 72 minutes of quintessential Pinter in the Nobel Prize-winning playwright's rarely-produced early work, A Slight Ache.

Written in 1958, Pinter's tragicomedy of manners is a funny, ominous and unsettling journey into the human psyche. As married couple Flora and Edward breakfast in their garden, a wasp circles menacingly overhead while Edward feels "a slight ache" in his eye. And who is that derelict match seller hovering just beyond the garden gate?

“STAGE RAW TOP 10… RECOMMENDED… adeptly captures the pauses and lulling rhythm of Pinter’s work.” — Amanda L. Andrei, Stage Raw

“A MIND-GAME OF PERSPECTIVE AND REALITY… [the] actors truly capture the essence of Pinter-esque absurdist ambiguity.” — Robert St. Martin, The Hollywood Times

“A STERLING PRODUCTION… meticulously directed… the production values are sky high… purely Pinter in its conceit, both humane and troubling.” — Ben Miles, Showmag

“INCISIVE, BITING… The ensemble sparks and sparkles under Jack Heller’s direction… well-honed dialogue delivered by gifted actors,” — Ed Rampell, Hollywood Progressive
