In Robin Bradford's new play, "Low-Hanging Fruit," four homeless women live on the mean streets of LA's Skid Row. All are combat veterans of Iraq/Afghanistan, and trust each other because of shared experiences in the military. None of them are equipped to handle what awaits them away from the security of the service and the quasi-security of the private encampment they've nicknamed "The Taj Mahal." When one of the women befriends a young runaway, she breaks the group's most basic rule: no one allowed in camp but ex-military.
