CEDRIC JOE Cedric Joe starred in Warner Brothers Film, Space Jam: A New Legacy opposite Lebron James and Don Cheadle. The film was directed by Malcolm D. Lee and produced by Ryan Coogler. Cedric can be seen in the ABC mini-series Women of the Movement playing Emmett Till on Hulu. You can see Cedric in Murder City opposite Michael Coulter for Tubi. On Disney Plus, Cedric stars on the series Just Beyond, Episode 8, “The Treehouse.” Cedric has guest starred in Good Trouble for Freeform, Modern Family for ABC and Game Shakers for Nickelodeon. Cedric also starred in Black Super Hero Magic Mama at the Geffen Theater in Los Angeles. Cedric just wrapped a short film titled, What Freedom, directed by Paul James.
ULATO SAM Ulato is a Jamaican native with an M.F.A. from UCLA and training from BADA at Oxford and the Grotowski Institute in Wrocław. This Morehouse Man has been featured on Oprah’s 2020 Vision Tour, Tony Robbin’s Virtual World Tour and Jay Shetty’s On Purpose Podcast. With credits including the SITI Company’s The Theatre Is A Blank Page,Tarell Alvin McCraney’s In The Red & Brown Water, Arnold Wesker’s The Kitchen, the Warsaw Stage Society’s Birdy, and the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles’ immersive performance of The Tempest. This former track athlete and recipient of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Acting Fellowship, the Mariska Hargitay Scholarship for Acting and the Zuri Adele Acting Fellowship, is excited to be welcomed to share this powerful story on the Odyssey Theatre stage.
JONATHAN P. SIMS Jonathan P. Sims is a professional actor on both stage & screen who has appeared in such series and productions as Night Court, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Insecure, Les Blancs, and The Gospel at Colonus. He acquired his M.A. in Acting from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in
Birmingham, UK. He also earned his B.A. in Theatre Arts from Azusa Pacific University. Jonathan oversees the Theatre program at St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy and is an adjunct
professor for the Theatre Arts program at APU. He firmly believes in the power of art and
creativity to connect us as human beings and shine a light on a wide spectrum of truths and
realities. His biggest successes to date are the recent marriage to his wife, Alijah, and the coming birth of their first child.
AHKEI TOGUN Ahkei Togun is a proud alumni of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where he spent 4 years on both their New York and Los Angeles campus, earning his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts. Immediately after graduating he made his professional debut with the role of Calvin in the West Coast premiere of Scraps. As the world changed he had the opportunity to explore film-life and landed a featured role in the short, “Free Machine,” that later premiered on Hulu. After over a decade of performance, Ahkei decided to add producing to his creative capabilities, with the intention of creating a platform for a larger community of artists. Since then, he has curated over 20 different shows, connecting and creating with over 100 artists of all kinds. Nonetheless his passion for acting persists, as he takes on the role of Daz. This marks his third production with the Odyssey Theatre.
