LORINDA HAWKINS SMITH Lorinda Hawkins Smith is an actress, comedian, writer, musician and domestic violence survivor. Her credits include: "The Wayans Bros," "Living Single," and "Strong Medicine." Theatre is her first love performing with Deaf West, San Diego Rep, and the Vagrancy. While transitioning from houseless to housed, Lorinda earned her MBA and wrote Justice? Or…Just Me? In 2018, Justice? Or…Just Me? was selected to be part of REDCAT’s Studio: Spring 2018 showcasing artists with works in progress. This summer will be the first time the piece will be performed as a full length show in the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Justice? Or…Just Me? The Bite is an official selection of the 2021 Hollywood Fringe Festival Diversity Scholarship awarded to productions with powerful community impact. Justice? Or...Just Me? The Bite is the first in the now trilogy of Justice? Or...Just Me? shows. She just recently published the first in her book series with the same title, Justice? Or...Just Me? The Bite, now available on Amazon. Lorinda is honored to be a commissioned playwright for the Robey Theatre Company. In addition to plays, Lorinda wrote and directed a short film last year that has been an official selection in film festivals and is nominated for an award in the Oregon Scream Week Horror Film Festival, The Virus. When she's not writing or performing, she teaches drama to youth.

PATRICIA BEAN-KANE (Director) Patricia Bean-Kane began writing and directing plays as a freshman in high school. In 1983 Patricia relocated to Los Angeles, California, she was a babe in Christ at the time and joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor E.V. Hill. After she accepted Christ, she began to utilize her gift of teaching and her natural talents of writing, directing and acting to spread the gospel.
In April 1987, she became the Director/President of Christian Elite Ensemble (CEE). The purpose was to become a professional theatrical producing company, to provide a vehicle for the Christian Artist to express his/her talents and gifts and to witness through the arts telling an unbelieving world of Christ’s gift of salvation at the same time reminding believers that Christ is our solid rock on which we stand. In July 2017 under Patricia’s leadership Christian Elite Ensemble began its outreach ministry called Love In Action. The purpose of “Love in Action” is to generate and/or support community projects throughout the Greater Los Angeles and surrounding areas, that are dedicated to assisting the homeless, poor, children, and elderly through various Kingdom Projects.
She has been involved in Christian theatre for over 25 years. She is the founder of Black Light Theatre in Denver and the Christian elite Ensemble in L.A. Patricia has written over 15 plays that have been performed under her directorship either by Black Light Theater Company or CEE in Denver, Colorado, Los Angeles, California, Kansas City Kansas, Holly Springs Mississippi, Oklahoma and Washington D.C. She is an actress, director and trainer. She has assisted various churches, and organizations in producing their own productions. She is the recipient of the Rohi Honoree Award awarded to Christian playwrights.
Patricia works for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as the Enforcement Manager of the Los Angeles District Office.
