CATHI SHULTZ (Agrippina) Cathi has appeared as Kate in “Brighton Beach Memoirs”, as Patricia Bingham in “Good News”, as Lady Gwendolyn in “Kiss Me Kate”, as Fritzi in “70, Girls, 70” and in chorus roles in “Jolly, Holly Holiday” and “Little Mary Sunshine”. Her back stage theatre work has included props mistress for “Annie Get Your Gun” and “Footloose” and Assistant to the Director for productions of “Li’l Abner” and “Seussical”. But her biggest role has been as wife to Steve and mother to Mark, Evan, Caitlin and Alesandra. She would like to thank Tony for this opportunity and the cast and creative team for their hard work and support. She is grateful to her family for their help and love and to her Lord for yet another chance to do something that she enjoys.
REESE RIGBY (Delia) Hi there and welcome! I’m originally from Baltimore MD, where I graduated from Morgan State University with a BA in Theatre Arts. Agrippina is my 3rd stage production since moving to Los Angeles 2 years ago. Random information about me: I write for catharsis. I’m addicted to lip gloss. I loathe rudeness in all of its forms. I hug my puppy daily. I love bacon, Merlot and TiVo. Thanks for coming!
BARRY SILVER (Pallas) Barry has been performing around the Southern California area for over 15 years (in over 30 theatrical productions), including a regional tour of "Oliver" as "Fagan", and several productions of "Guys and Dolls" as "Nathan Detroit". He is a three time Geoffrey Award winner for his performances in "Tartuffe" as "Orgon" (Best Actor of the Year), "Laughter on the 23rd Floor" as "Max" (Best Actor of the Year), and "Mr. Mushnick" in "Little Shop of Horrors" (Best Supporting Actor). Barry's film credits include "Ten Seconds" and "Ask For Me Tomorrow". His commercial credits include "Asahi Beer (Japan)" and "Barbasol Shaving Cream". Barry has trained with "Second City (Santa Monica)" and "The Groundlings". Thanks to my family for letting me continue to "play", and thanks to Tony for the opportunity. Ah! "Life upon the wicked stage......!"
MICHAEL LAURIE (Burrus) Born on the South Coast of England and classically trained by Vivianne Guignard of R.A.D.A, Michael Laurie is also a graduate of The London School of Singing toured the UK on the Variety Club Circuit as one half of the comedy duo “Scott Free”. Michael had a recurring role on TVS in “Gentlemen & Players” and wrote/hosted “Tattoo”. In the late 80’s Laurie relocated to the United Sates and over the next 11 years appeared as a Stand-up in some of this countries top Comedy Clubs. Laurie is also a graduate of The Actors Institute, NYC and The Ruskin School in Santa Monica after studying the Meisner technique. A founding member of the Ruskin Group Theatre in Santa Monica, Michael is also a creator/producer/director of The LA Café Plays. Michael Laurie’s numerous theatre credits including: The Fir Tree, Mitigating Factors, Career, The Unsinkable Titanic, Androcles and the Lion, The King and I, Dial M for Murder. Film and Television credits include: Starwatch, Perish The Thought, Mystery ER, Diagnosis X and, Super Kids and Dad.
RICHARD SABINE (Otho) Richard was born, raised and theatre trained in New York City. His training led him to acting performances ranging from Shakespeare to Improvisation and from Independent Films to Daytime Soaps. He relocated to Los Angeles in 2006, leaving behind a successful business career to focus on his dream of being an actor. He is proud of being the producer of this show, as well as Second Hand Fringe. He produced a showcase and workshops under the name of In Demand Productions. He produced and acted in “Fat Pig” by Neil LaBute back in April 2008. “Sabine’s Carter is so convincingly obnoxious one wants to hurl things at him” - Neal weaver of Backstage West.
SEAN LAMBERT (Agerinus/Stage Manager) Sean Lambert was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Europe; spending most his life living and acting in Europe. He earned a B.A. in Theatre from Denver's Metro State. Various U.S. theatre credits include Magic Assistant in Orange Lemon Egg Canary, Charlie in The Foreigner, Juror #2 in 12 Angry Men, Antonio in Twelfth Night, Eddie in Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, and Tournel in A Flea in Her Ear. His European theatre credits include Seanie in Bedroom Farce, Dennis in Habeas Corpus, Cleante in The Miser (nominated for Best Ensemble and Best Actor at the Luxembourg FEATS Festival) and Arnold in Torch Song Trilogy (toured internationally including The Netherlands, Slovenia and Croatia). L.A. Assistant Directing/Stage Managing credits include 12 Angry Men, M.L.M., The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, Orange Lemon Egg Canary (A.S.M.) and FATPIG.
BRIAN NOLEN (Nero) Born in Louisiana, Brian moved to the other ‘LA’ to further his acting career. His stage credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Balm In Gilead, and the SITI/Swine Palace production of Death of a Salesman. Other live performing include professional mascotting (as well as being ‘Mike The Tiger’ for Louisiana State University), the Batman Thrill Spectacular stunt show at Six Flags, and a 3 year member of a professional improv troupe. With his list of theatrical credits including a dinosaur and a lazy video gamer, his role in ‘Derby Day’ landed him a best supporting actor nomination at the 168 International Film Festival. Brian is thrilled to portray the best emperor ever. His current projects include ‘Fan Club’ and the ‘Untitled Tom Curitore’ spec pilot. He is represented by Angel City Talent and Betwixt Management. TIM FORSYTHE (Herculeius)
VANESSA WHITE (Poppeia) Vanessa White was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and raised in Summerville, S.C.. Growing up in a family of artists Vanessa felt at home in choosing a career in the arts. Performing in local theater at a young age and throughout her high school years, gave Vanessa the boost to move to Hollywood after high school. Vanessa’s credits include Ice Cube’s film Next Friday, Friends, Ally McBeal, Off Centre, Body & Stunt Doubling for Angelina Jolie in Taking Lives and Body Doubling Jolie in Mr. & Mrs. Smith. You can also see Vanessa as the “come to life poster girl”
on the interactive website for the wireless company Alltel. Vanessa received The Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina Award for Best Actress at the 2008 Charleston International Film Festival for her performance in the short film Tangled Web, directed by Todd Svoboda. White also co-wrote, co-produced and co-stars with Ugly Betty’s Michael Urie in Tangled Web. Vanessa is very excited to be going back to her theater roots in the production of Agrippina and is honored to be working with such a warm and talented ensemble.
PARIS COMO (Brittanicus) After just finishing a workshop for the new musical Radicalove, Paris is so excited to be changing it up and working on this production of Agrippina! In his hometown of Pittsburgh, Paris has appeared in numerous productions with Pittsburgh Musical Theatre and Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. Paris attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and recently graduated with a BFA in Theatre Arts. Favorite credits from school include The Wild Party (Lippa), Crazy For You, and Pippin. A big thank you to Richard and Tony for getting me in on this project! Much love to my family and friends, who have been so supportive of all of my ventures!
LESLEY YOUNGBLOOD (Agrippina - Understudy) Lesley hails from Atlanta, Georgia but has been a happy resident of WeHo for the last few years. Past stage appearances have included Laurey in Oklahoma, Shelby in Steel Magnolias, Rosemary Fenton in Bullshot Crummond and twice as Sister Mary Leo in Nunsense and Nuncrackers. Lesley is also a founding member of Encore Theatre Company in Atlanta and tackled the role of Jill in Weekend Comedy in their premiere production. Since moving to this coast, Lesley has learned new on-screen skills, most recently acquiring the ability to turn green in her live action portrayal of Jen Walters in Shamelessly She-Hulk. She is most thankful for the support of her family and friends, humid-free summers in LA, and the opportunity to work with this amazing cast. Lesley would especially like to thank Cathi and Steve for their unselfish generosity on this production.
JUSTIN SCHOLLARD (Nero - Understudy) Justin Schollard was born in San Luis Obispo, California, grew up in Traverse City Michigan, and spent a year exploring the Philippine islands as a teenager. After graduating high school he caught a bad case of the acting bug and at 19 found himself driving across the country due west in route to Los Angeles. With a thousand bucks, a bag of clothes, and a dream he rolled into Hollywood where his journey to become an actor began. Agrippina is Justin's third play in 2008, and has starred in 4 independent films including the feature film "Sinister Heaven".
